[2,737 of 3,900] An Epic Campaign!

Friday morning: I started out on my Demon Hunter, working on ten world quests for the campaign. This is near the end of it all - there are only a few more steps and then I'll have all five class campaigns finished.

Saturday morning: I only have a few minutes so I decided to work on my cooking. I need to make fifty Galley Banquet. Sadly the AH is out of a couple of the fish so I need to go farm them (or I can just wait until another day). Off to fish some Tiragarde Perch! I picked up [Zandalari Fisherman] soon after, then /love'ed a couple of critters for the "squirrels" achievement.

Sunday morning: I fished up some more Perch and then went to the AH for the rest of the Galley Banquet supplies. I still need a decent number more Perch to finish it off but the only ones left on the AH are 1000X what they usually cost so I'll wait.

Not sure what to do next, I headed off to do another days worth of Shado Pan dailies. I'm so happy that I have the special teleport Path of the Shado Pan to get me there quickly. I worked on [Loner and a Rebel] then headed to ZG of all places to help my wife with a quest.

Next, I used my Northrend Wormhole to get the egg from the Oracles (3 days wait, chance of mount). I'm going to switch to Frenzyheart once I get the mount.

Then I did an epic battleground (Ashran) and picked up a few Dwarf kills for my garrison quest before I headed to Wyrmrest Tower for the Chromie achievement. It turns out it only takes about two hours total to finish this achievement - just keep getting extra rep as the rewards and you'll get it quickly. I ended up having to leave but finished [Chromie Homie] on Monday morning.

I found some very expensive Tirgarde Perch on the AH and finished off [Catering for Combat] - that's every cooking achievement now.

Deciding to do something different again. I headed to STV to fish up Bloodsail Wreckage, picking up [The Scavenger]. Next was Northrend, via my Wormhole Generator: Northrend.

If you ever find yourself looking for Moonglow Cuttlefish or Deepsea Monsterbelly, I strongly recommend reading the Wowhead comments and heading to the icebergs south of Death's Stand in Borean Tundra. The map on wowhead is completely wrong. Anyway, after heading inland to find a Musselback Sculpin school,I picked up [Northrend Angler]!

Since I was already in the vicinity, I tried killing Malygos for the drake (no luck) and checked on my rare spawns that I still need (no luck either), then headed to other Northrend locations to do An Awfully Big Adventure.

In the end, I only needed three pet battlers for this region and, after completing these, I moved on to finishing up the Demon Hunter class hall quests. For this, I needed fifteen items from Legion dungeon bosses. On Tuesday afternoon I finally did the rest - some items in the world, then an instance, then some small extra stuff and )finally!) [An Epic Campaign] is complete!

Remember to Share (300 Toys)!

This one has taken a while. I finally picked up 300 toys (and thus the mount for the achievement) after starting to seriously work on my Archaeology achievements for the first time. I've been doing the fortnightly Legion archaeology quests for a while (and thus had 800 skill) but I completely ignored this profession in earlier expansions as it seemed seriously boring. With some knowledge and a good addon, it's much better however. Some tips if you're just starting to work on archaeology: 1. Download the "Archy" addon. This addon does several things: first, it shows you the location and completion status of all digsites in the current continent. Second, it automatically sets the closes one as a waypoint for TomTom. Third, it indicates when it's possible to solve an artifact with and without a keystone, so you don't have to constantly check your archaeology screen. On top of that, the distance indicator shows when you are in the correct range from your ...

Beta update - best achievement EVER!

It probably won't make it to live. But check out this feat of strength from the beta:

A Song of Wind and Water

I've been working on Oracles and Ogri'la rep every day and have about four days to go. One thing I've noticed about these older daily quests is that there is little provision for high-level players that one-shot everything. Two quests in particular stand out as being annoying until you learn the high-level trick. The first is Banish More Demons in Blade's Edge. This involves placing a portal on the ground then killing demons within a few feet of the portal. The portal has a one-minute cooldown and you need fifteen demons. It was a slow exercise in frustration because kiting further-away demons was difficult sue to all my abilities one-shotting them before they got near. In the end, I learned to use the Shaman's "Purge" ability to aggro mobs without killing them and pull them close to the portal. The second, and more annoying, quest that isn't scaled for high-level players is the Ogri-la's Song of Wind and Water .  This involves weakening ...
