[2,709 of 3,900] A Heroic Campaign!

May 3rd:

Anyway, I'm sticking to my plan of doing the three class hall campaigns that I'm still missing. My Rogue is doing well and is pretty far along. My hunter is further behind but still making progress. Both are at the point where they need to complete several 2-hour missions and so I've parked them at the mission table and am logging in every few hours to complete another one. My Demon Hunter is just starting to get back into the process.

I've got my professions figured out and I'll be doing those next, but I wanted to start to make my heritage armor classes now so that I can park them in Org for the rested bonus. One thing to note about leveling up heritage armor classes is that Monks get Enlightenment, which gives a 50% boost to exp from quests. I still want to have a druid, but most of my new characters will be monks for this bonus.

May 30th:

I've not been interested in playing recently. This happens a lot when I draw up a complicated plan involving many characters - I can never remember what I was supposed to be doing next when I sit down, so I end up doing nothing at all.

Today I started with Naz'jatar, doing another week's worth of [Periodic Destruction] and a couple of dailies.

Next, I worked on the Ember Court. I did the Mortal Reminders quest, which involved going to Grizzly Hills to talk to a frog, killing Corehounds in Molten Core and delivering herbs to the Jade Forest. All to unlock some decorations.

After that, I headed to Ardenweald, both to do some dailies and to work on all the quests I'd yet to complete.

A desire to pick up an old engineering recipe I was missing (and to clear out my quest log) led to a trip to Northrend to get the Scrap-E schematic.

June 2nd:

Back in Naz'jatar for my second from last weekly attempt at [Periodic Destruction] and a couple of dailies. I'm still missing a single puzzle chest but it's so far never been up when I check for it.

Wednesday evening and it's time to get my Hunter further along on his class hall quests. I need to do ten Legion world quests.

June 3rd:

I finished the ten world quests and headed back to the hunter lodge for the next in the chain. My hunter is very underpowered - I'm still using the default crab as a pet - but it wasn't too taxing to get all ten quests finished.

Next up for the hunter chain, I need to go to Darkheart Thicket, as well as doing some underwater mining in Surumar.

June 7:

The Hunter questline needs me to head to a dungeon now. I'm going to have a guild member help me with those, as well as the Rogue questline where I need to kill an elite. For now, I'm working on doing the soloable parts of the Demon Hunter class quests in Legion. My hope is to progress everything to the point that an hour with a guildie will let me finish all three class quest chains.

One thing to note is that these characters are all on Area 52, yet Spirestone is Deathspiral's home - it may be worth transferring them.

In the evening, I headed to Naz'Jatar thinking it was Tuesday and that I could pick up [Periodic Destruction] but, alas. Instead I did From the Depths again and the dailies.

Next, I switched to my Rogue and finally completed [A Glorious Campaign], so I just have two more of these to do to be finished :)

Remember to Share (300 Toys)!

This one has taken a while. I finally picked up 300 toys (and thus the mount for the achievement) after starting to seriously work on my Archaeology achievements for the first time. I've been doing the fortnightly Legion archaeology quests for a while (and thus had 800 skill) but I completely ignored this profession in earlier expansions as it seemed seriously boring. With some knowledge and a good addon, it's much better however. Some tips if you're just starting to work on archaeology: 1. Download the "Archy" addon. This addon does several things: first, it shows you the location and completion status of all digsites in the current continent. Second, it automatically sets the closes one as a waypoint for TomTom. Third, it indicates when it's possible to solve an artifact with and without a keystone, so you don't have to constantly check your archaeology screen. On top of that, the distance indicator shows when you are in the correct range from your ...

Beta update - best achievement EVER!

It probably won't make it to live. But check out this feat of strength from the beta:

A Song of Wind and Water

I've been working on Oracles and Ogri'la rep every day and have about four days to go. One thing I've noticed about these older daily quests is that there is little provision for high-level players that one-shot everything. Two quests in particular stand out as being annoying until you learn the high-level trick. The first is Banish More Demons in Blade's Edge. This involves placing a portal on the ground then killing demons within a few feet of the portal. The portal has a one-minute cooldown and you need fifteen demons. It was a slow exercise in frustration because kiting further-away demons was difficult sue to all my abilities one-shotting them before they got near. In the end, I learned to use the Shaman's "Purge" ability to aggro mobs without killing them and pull them close to the portal. The second, and more annoying, quest that isn't scaled for high-level players is the Ogri-la's Song of Wind and Water .  This involves weakening ...
