[2,670 of 3,896] Epic

I'm wasting an absolutely enormous amount of time flying between Oribus and Sinfall in Revendreth. Getting 10,000 anima to get the Oribus portal is my current top priority. I'm at 3,638 of 10,000 at the moment.

Adventures are a good source of anima for me, but I need to balance pure anima runs with gaining more experience so I can unlock bigger rewards. I'm going to focus on doing the Bastion calling first, theen search for any and all +anima dailies to boost it further.

It's a double battlegrounds week, with two weeklies requiring battlegrounds (and another for the weekly brawl) so I have a fair amount of PVP to play today.

I lost a couple of battlegrounds (but picked up Four Square!) and then headed to the Maw with my wife to work on rep.

After doing the dailies, I ended up heading into Torghast again to do the quest that unlocks twisting corridors. Holy crap those are difficult - the floor 18 boss almost wiped us. It's stupidly long as well - who has a spare three hours randomly, without any warning?

Anyway, the upshot of it all is that I gained the Twisting Corridors: Layer 1 achievement and, after relogging, a whole bunch of anima from one of the quests (5X250). Currently at 5,037 of the 10,000 needed to get a portal to Oribus now.

A quick trip to Maldraxus for some anima and then a trip to Bastion to get Flight School Graduate and I was done for the night. (I tried the Paragon version but didn't have time for more than five attempts).

Monday morning and I tried the Paragon version of the quest a few more times without success. I then did another battleground without a win and picked up the calling for today - Ardenweald. I also started work on increasing my cooking skill, although didn't get very far.

I picked up Renny the fox. I remember doing a quest a day or two ago where I had to chase him across multiple locations. Nice bonus getting him permanently today :)

With that done, I headed into the Maw with my wife again to work on my rep with the vendor there. I hit "Tentative" rep and got the 'Ghast Five achievement from my upgrades and Prepare for Trouble from the quest.

After a break for dinner, I found myself looking for more ways to get anima towards the 10,000. I spotted a 194 ring quest in Revendreth - perfect as I only have a 164 ilvl ring, finally giving me Epic.

Remember to Share (300 Toys)!

This one has taken a while. I finally picked up 300 toys (and thus the mount for the achievement) after starting to seriously work on my Archaeology achievements for the first time. I've been doing the fortnightly Legion archaeology quests for a while (and thus had 800 skill) but I completely ignored this profession in earlier expansions as it seemed seriously boring. With some knowledge and a good addon, it's much better however. Some tips if you're just starting to work on archaeology: 1. Download the "Archy" addon. This addon does several things: first, it shows you the location and completion status of all digsites in the current continent. Second, it automatically sets the closes one as a waypoint for TomTom. Third, it indicates when it's possible to solve an artifact with and without a keystone, so you don't have to constantly check your archaeology screen. On top of that, the distance indicator shows when you are in the correct range from your ...

Beta update - best achievement EVER!

It probably won't make it to live. But check out this feat of strength from the beta:

A Song of Wind and Water

I've been working on Oracles and Ogri'la rep every day and have about four days to go. One thing I've noticed about these older daily quests is that there is little provision for high-level players that one-shot everything. Two quests in particular stand out as being annoying until you learn the high-level trick. The first is Banish More Demons in Blade's Edge. This involves placing a portal on the ground then killing demons within a few feet of the portal. The portal has a one-minute cooldown and you need fifteen demons. It was a slow exercise in frustration because kiting further-away demons was difficult sue to all my abilities one-shotting them before they got near. In the end, I learned to use the Shaman's "Purge" ability to aggro mobs without killing them and pull them close to the portal. The second, and more annoying, quest that isn't scaled for high-level players is the Ogri-la's Song of Wind and Water .  This involves weakening ...
