8/12/23: I finished three more Dragon Isles pet world quests for [Battle on the Dragon Isles II] - just one more to go!

Next up, I have a whole bunch of trainers to do to get [An Awfully Big Adventure] - I'm going to start on this now but I have 20 more to do to get Trunks.

8/13/23: Mote Little Scales Daycare to start the day off. I'm nearing the end now - just one more whelp to go.

8/14/23: I finished all the Little Scales Daycare quests and now have [Hey Nanny, Nanny]]!

8/20/23: [Daycare Derby]! Good start to the day.

8/28/23: I started the day by doing the snail daily - just two more to go! Next, I worked on Lomen Niffen rep, trying to get 1500 for the weekly.

8/29/23: Logged in quickly before reset. I did a snail daily (one more to go!) and then defeated Adinakon in a pet battle to pick up [Battle on the Dragon Isles II]!

9/2/23: I worked on the 1500 Loamen Niffen rep for the weekly. It took a surprising number of world quests to get there.

9/3/23: I worked on Secrets of Azeroth this morning. I haven't done any of them so far so I had four to do. I picked up [The Inquisitive] soon after! I'm kind of annoyed that I can't catch up to other players now that I missed the first two days of secret drops - there was no indication that I should get them on that day and so I stayed in Loamm. Fortunately it seems that you can still finish the secrets after the event is over.

Next up, I had finished two thirds of Aiding the Accord: Suffusion Camp but still needed 1000 rep and to look a Secured Shipment, so I headed to the assault area. When there, I ran the firefighting quest seven times in a row (torture for my ADHD - I was so bored and antsy) but eventually I picked up [We Didn't Start the Fire]!

9/4/23: I finished up the weekly 3000 rep quest and then realized we were on a new month for the traveler's log.

9/5/23: Lots of new achievements were added today. When I logged in I received [Working in Hellfire][Working from the start][Through the Ashes and Flames][Serious Chef][Goblins vs Gnomes] and Disenchantment I to IV!

Some of the other new ones look broken - for example, I supposedly have never created anything with enchanting.

Later, I picked up [Curious Coin]]!

9/8/23: I did the new Dreamsurge content today. It took me two attempts because I didn't understand how it worked initially. Basically you just wait for a portal to spawn, then kill the adds in the portal, then the boss. World quests in the zone reward extra stuff too.

I picked up [Dream Shaper] as well!

9/9/23: I'm working on the Loamm weekly as well as the 3000 rep weekly. I also decided to do some digs with Myrrit to get five total for the adventure guide, making good progress on the dig achievement as well.

9/10/23: [Sniffen Sage]! I continued working on 1500 Loamm rep for the weekly.

9/11/23: Finished the 1500 Loamm rep.

9/12/23: Finished the 3000 rep for the weekly, just before reset.

Remember to Share (300 Toys)!

This one has taken a while. I finally picked up 300 toys (and thus the mount for the achievement) after starting to seriously work on my Archaeology achievements for the first time. I've been doing the fortnightly Legion archaeology quests for a while (and thus had 800 skill) but I completely ignored this profession in earlier expansions as it seemed seriously boring. With some knowledge and a good addon, it's much better however. Some tips if you're just starting to work on archaeology: 1. Download the "Archy" addon. This addon does several things: first, it shows you the location and completion status of all digsites in the current continent. Second, it automatically sets the closes one as a waypoint for TomTom. Third, it indicates when it's possible to solve an artifact with and without a keystone, so you don't have to constantly check your archaeology screen. On top of that, the distance indicator shows when you are in the correct range from your ...

Beta update - best achievement EVER!

It probably won't make it to live. But check out this feat of strength from the beta:

A Song of Wind and Water

I've been working on Oracles and Ogri'la rep every day and have about four days to go. One thing I've noticed about these older daily quests is that there is little provision for high-level players that one-shot everything. Two quests in particular stand out as being annoying until you learn the high-level trick. The first is Banish More Demons in Blade's Edge. This involves placing a portal on the ground then killing demons within a few feet of the portal. The portal has a one-minute cooldown and you need fifteen demons. It was a slow exercise in frustration because kiting further-away demons was difficult sue to all my abilities one-shotting them before they got near. In the end, I learned to use the Shaman's "Purge" ability to aggro mobs without killing them and pull them close to the portal. The second, and more annoying, quest that isn't scaled for high-level players is the Ogri-la's Song of Wind and Water .  This involves weakening ...
