[3,111 of 4,646] Lucky Penny!

 7/12/23:

[Verified Rifter] - I still dislike the zerg mechanic with this one, you need to be ready immediately at the ten minute mark as the boss dies so fast.

7/15/23: Another Snail saily for a measly 100 rep. This one involved all four main zones.

[One of Everything, Please] was next. I thought the Creche Crowler giving you wings was a pretty fun easter egg.

Next, I joined a BG to counteract the effects of the Forbidden Flounder and managed to eat the whole thing without dying, gaining [Me Want Bite] (and a 1-hour debuff :) We won the BG too :)

7/16/23: [Ancient Stones of Thaldrassus] fairly simple, just fly to the waypoints and click stuff.

[Ancient Stones of Azure Span]] took about another ten minutes.

It's probably worth taking the time to reiterate my strategy: I'm trying to get all the solo achievements first, then I'll work on group stuff, saving the most difficult ones (mythic raids and High Warlord) for a particular "push" season once I've done everything else.

[Ancient Stones of Ohn'haran Plains] was next. Another easy ten minute achievement.

[Ancient Stones of the Waking Shores] had one stone that was tricky to get to - underground in a mob-filled area - but as soon as I got it, I also got [Ancient Stones of the Dragon Isles]]! Not bad - 1 hours work for five achievements :)

7/17/23: I started the day trying to complete a quest that was still evade bugged. frustrating. Then I went to buy 50 boxes of rocks for [Many Boxes, Many Rockses] - these are on a 15 minute timer so it will be a while before I've opened them all.

Next up, [Lucky Penny] - this one is a fun easter egg. If you scroll to the very end of your adventure guide, you get a button that says "free money" that gives you a copper and this achievement.

After that I worked on [All Sides of the Story] - this set of quests takes six weeks to complete and I'm only on week two. I'm also a few weeks in to Tarjin the Blind - the part that takes six weeks. For this, I need to farm five dragon skulls each week.

I also did more of the Veritizstraz questline. The next bit requires an Odd Round Object from the vaults. It's been a while since I did any vaults and I need to get the 40 key achievement anyway so maybe I'll do that next.

I grabbed some more Tuskarr rep as the soup was up, hitting Renown 24 (one away from two mouints!).

After that, I discovered the breadcrumb quest to the time rift area and did the Chromie daily and some quests that gave me a pet.

Remember to Share (300 Toys)!

This one has taken a while. I finally picked up 300 toys (and thus the mount for the achievement) after starting to seriously work on my Archaeology achievements for the first time. I've been doing the fortnightly Legion archaeology quests for a while (and thus had 800 skill) but I completely ignored this profession in earlier expansions as it seemed seriously boring. With some knowledge and a good addon, it's much better however. Some tips if you're just starting to work on archaeology: 1. Download the "Archy" addon. This addon does several things: first, it shows you the location and completion status of all digsites in the current continent. Second, it automatically sets the closes one as a waypoint for TomTom. Third, it indicates when it's possible to solve an artifact with and without a keystone, so you don't have to constantly check your archaeology screen. On top of that, the distance indicator shows when you are in the correct range from your ...

Beta update - best achievement EVER!

It probably won't make it to live. But check out this feat of strength from the beta:

A Song of Wind and Water

I've been working on Oracles and Ogri'la rep every day and have about four days to go. One thing I've noticed about these older daily quests is that there is little provision for high-level players that one-shot everything. Two quests in particular stand out as being annoying until you learn the high-level trick. The first is Banish More Demons in Blade's Edge. This involves placing a portal on the ground then killing demons within a few feet of the portal. The portal has a one-minute cooldown and you need fifteen demons. It was a slow exercise in frustration because kiting further-away demons was difficult sue to all my abilities one-shotting them before they got near. In the end, I learned to use the Shaman's "Purge" ability to aggro mobs without killing them and pull them close to the portal. The second, and more annoying, quest that isn't scaled for high-level players is the Ogri-la's Song of Wind and Water .  This involves weakening ...
