[2,839 of 4,126] Zereth Mortis and Revendreth

7/15/22 - I've been on vacation for most of a month. I picked up [The World Beyond] (100 different Shadowlands world quests) while working on my weekly Enlightened rep.

I also picked up [Explore the Maw] after I noticed I still was missing an area.

7/17/22 - I looked up how to spawn Helmix (the last rare that I need for [Adventurer of Zereth Mortis]) and learned that to spawn, you need to kill a bunch of Annelid Mudborers. I took the Wowhead advice and looked for a group with "ix" in the name and immediately found one, making the whole thing go much faster. I estimate we killed 200 of the buggers before it spawned but at least I got a bunch of mats for the various pets. Oh, and I got Adventurer!

7/18/22 - I'm back working on the Zereth Mortis achievements. Most are almost complete. I created another pet (3/5 for [Synthe-fived!]) and I'm realizing that I need an absolutely enormous number of Genesis Mote to get all fifty mounts and pets.

It looks like I still have another nine schematics to go as well, which isn't terrible given that this means I've already collected forty one of them.

All The Things indicated that a new Secret was added in 9.2.5 - https://www.wowhead.com/item=192485/stored-wisdom-device#comments It looks like I have a bunch of prerequisites to complete however. I hunted down a bunch of "Stay a while and listen..." speech bubbles in Oribos and now I'm working on the "Rule 7" quest in the Maw.

I can't seem to figure out how to sttart the quest. I've checked thattt I've done the previous one and I've checked both Venari and the quest area itself without luck. I DID manage to kill a couple of rares thatt I needed and picked up a pet thatt I was missing as well so it's not a total loss but it IS pretty annoying not being abble to do this quest and thus get the secret.

7/19/22 I realized this morning that I need to finish my Venari rep to get the final quest. I'm at 19720/2100 so I can hopefully get it this week.

I got invited to help summon Talaporas. This guy requires four people to summon and was on my list of "to kill" mobs for the area so I was pretty happy to get this done - I have several others like this from old content and there is simply no way I'll ever get them outside of a dedicated group.

I hearthed to Zereth Mortis to pick up the weekly and to kill Antros. I checked in on the Dominated Irregular spawn to see if one had finally shown up for [Completing the Code] and it had! I've been looking for this thing for weeks, so I'm happy to finally finish this partt. I justbb have two more to go for the achievement.

I picked up Schematic: Forged Spiteflyer just sitting there on the ground. No idea how I missed this one before.

7/20/22 I headed back to Revendreth to do my adventures etc. and noticed that Race Day was up. This gave me the Racing Permit which is part of [Court Favors].

7/23/22 I picked up [Undying Army] yesterday. Today I finished up the Zereth Mortis weekly and grabbed another Pocopoc skin from a Sandworm Cache.

I finally had enough Cyphers to get [Cyphers of the First Ones] too!

Later, I checked for the five missing spheres for Traversing the Spheres without any luck.

7/24/22 Decided to do something completely different and worked on some achievements in Revendreth, starting with some pet battling ones for [Abhorrent Adversaries of the Afterlife]

Next, I hunted down the last two carriages I needed for [The Afterlife Express]!

After that, I hunted down the two critters in the zone for All the Squirrels...

I went to work on [What We Ride In The Shadows] but couldn't find the runners. It turns out I needed to complete The Endmire quest first. After that, I completed the rides and got the achievement!

Next, I flew five bats for the [Bat!] achievement. Or, rather, I flew six, because the last one was bugged and didn't give me credit and I had to repeat it. Achievement unlocked!

After that, I started work on [Treasures of Revendreth]. Several of these require a bunch of Infused Rubies - something I've been capped on for most of a year. Frustrating. I've picked up every one now except The Count, which needs 99 Infused Ruby.

Hunting through random achievements, I found [Rock n' Roll], which requires you to use the Rockin' Rollin' Racer Customizer 19.9.3 toy. What a great toy! And now I have that achievement also :)

I also found a bunch of new Darkmoon Faire dance game achievements - the next time DMF is up, I definitely need to do these.

I also learned about the Dead Blanchy mount. Holy shit this seems like a pain in the ass. Still, I'm going to get it - first stop, Westfall for a Sack of Oats X 8.

Remember to Share (300 Toys)!

This one has taken a while. I finally picked up 300 toys (and thus the mount for the achievement) after starting to seriously work on my Archaeology achievements for the first time. I've been doing the fortnightly Legion archaeology quests for a while (and thus had 800 skill) but I completely ignored this profession in earlier expansions as it seemed seriously boring. With some knowledge and a good addon, it's much better however. Some tips if you're just starting to work on archaeology: 1. Download the "Archy" addon. This addon does several things: first, it shows you the location and completion status of all digsites in the current continent. Second, it automatically sets the closes one as a waypoint for TomTom. Third, it indicates when it's possible to solve an artifact with and without a keystone, so you don't have to constantly check your archaeology screen. On top of that, the distance indicator shows when you are in the correct range from your ...

Beta update - best achievement EVER!

It probably won't make it to live. But check out this feat of strength from the beta:

A Song of Wind and Water

I've been working on Oracles and Ogri'la rep every day and have about four days to go. One thing I've noticed about these older daily quests is that there is little provision for high-level players that one-shot everything. Two quests in particular stand out as being annoying until you learn the high-level trick. The first is Banish More Demons in Blade's Edge. This involves placing a portal on the ground then killing demons within a few feet of the portal. The portal has a one-minute cooldown and you need fifteen demons. It was a slow exercise in frustration because kiting further-away demons was difficult sue to all my abilities one-shotting them before they got near. In the end, I learned to use the Shaman's "Purge" ability to aggro mobs without killing them and pull them close to the portal. The second, and more annoying, quest that isn't scaled for high-level players is the Ogri-la's Song of Wind and Water .  This involves weakening ...
