PVP Pet Battles

Slow going with PVP pet battles right now. I'm grinding through all of the Family Brawler achievements in order to get the meta. This is much more difficult than it used to be because of the new matchmaking system where similarly-experienced players tend to get matched against each other more frequently than before. I'm only winning one in every 3-4 battles right now with my Magic-type team and it's pretty frustrating, especially because I usually get matched up against the same opponents repeatedly. Assuming I get all of these finished this week, I still need to win another 300 battles with a level 25 team for the 1000 match wins achievement. I'll post when I find a comp that I particularly like for that one. Once those are done, I then need to continue work on the other "Family" achievements for the various trainers, then, to round things out, I'll need to get a couple more celestial tournament pets, finish Deadmines and then grind roughly 4000 PVE and PVP wins. These last two I may punt on a bit - they are easy enough (just battling the level 1 pets in Org is enough to win 5000 battles) but I suspect many of them will be completed naturally over time, so no need to rush them. I've also been grinding out the rest of my Draenor garrison achievements. I'm closing in on the "Exalted with all bodyguards" achievement, as well as the "1000 Naval Battles" one (a tip: make sure you equip your ships with fishing nets - these actually count as catching the fish for some fishing achievements). This one has taken a while. I finally picked up 300 toys (and thus the mount for the achievement) after starting to seriously work on my Archaeology achievements for the first time. I've been doing the fortnightly Legion archaeology quests for a while (and thus had 800 skill) but I completely ignored this profession in earlier expansions as it seemed seriously boring. With some knowledge and a good addon, it's much better however. Some tips if you're just starting to work on archaeology: 1. Download the "Archy" addon. This addon does several things: first, it shows you the location and completion status of all digsites in the current continent. Second, it automatically sets the closes one as a waypoint for TomTom. Third, it indicates when it's possible to solve an artifact with and without a keystone, so you don't have to constantly check your archaeology screen.  8/12/23: I finished three more Dragon Isles pet world quests for [Battle on the Dragon Isles II] - just one more to go! Next up, I have a whole bunch of trainers to do to get [An Awfully Big Adventure] - I'm going to start on this now but I have 20 more to do to get Trunks. 8/13/23: Mote Little Scales Daycare to start the day off. I'm nearing the end now - just one more whelp to go. 8/14/23: I finished all the Little Scales Daycare quests and now have [Hey Nanny, Nanny]]! 8/20/23: [Daycare Derby]! Good start to the day. 8/28/23: I started the day by doing the snail daily - just two more to go! Next, I worked on Lomen Niffen rep, trying to get 1500 for the weekly. 8/29/23: Logged in quickly before reset. I did a snail daily (one more to go!) and then defeated Adinakon in a pet battle to pick up [Battle on the Dragon Isles II]! 9/2/23: I worked on the 1500 Loamen Niffen rep for the weekly. [3,115 of 4,646] A whole lot of random.

 7/21/23: I started the day with some quests from the dragon hatchery and for Chromie. The Chromie one was fun - she turned me into a quest giver and had me hand out quests. After that, I did the Tempo quests near Chromie and picked up a cosmetic shades in the process. Next, I worked on the Daycare questline. I now have to wait until tomorrow before continuing. lAfter that, I worked on Loamen Niffen rep to get the 1500 for the weekly. The first quest I did however was for a 405 bracer that I upgraded to 411. (afternoon) I just learned that I can buy Vault keys for 50 Dragonscale Supplies each! [Every Door, Everywhere, All at Once] is mine! I also picked up An Odd Round Object, which is an item I needed to continue the "story" questline from Voraxian (this is an achievement I was working on a few days ago). 7/22/23: I noticed that Old Hatreds' mob was no longer evade bugged and so finally finished that questline, getting [A New Beginning]!
