This is the status of my Pet Battle achievements from simplearmory.com
As you can see, while I have pretty much all of the "collections" achievements, I've almost none of the "Battle X trainers with Y type of pet only" ones, as well as only a few PVP achievements. My goal is to hit 100% completion of this section by April 15th. It's possible that I'll still be short a few due to RNG on trainer world quests but I don't mind finishing those up later.
At a minimum, I need six weeks to obtain the two celestial tournament pets I'm still missing, so this can't be done any faster than that.
General strategy is simple:
1. Once per week, do the Celestial Tournament as well as the "Win 10 PVP battles" quests. (The PVP quest rewards a Chain Pet Leash that I still don't have).
2. Daily, complete all pet world quests on the Broken Isles, Argus and in BFA. I work in order, starting with all Aquatic pets, then all Beast pets, the all Critters and so on.
3. Go crazy on the pet battle bonus event week and try to grind out a huge number of PVP games towards my 5000, with a focus on completing all of the "use all pets of type X" first. The PVP week is important as the players are often quite new to pet battling and queues are especially fast.
4. Once all the specialist battles are done (or very close to done, with just RNG blocking me from completion) I'll finish up any of the others I'm still missing, with the exception of the "5000 pet battles/ PVP pet battles" ones which I plan on just cheesing by killing level 1 pets in org and queuing with a friend to one-shot them for the PVP ones (e.g. queue with a pet of level 5, 10 and 15 and they queue with the same mix - this is the same strat most people use to finish the "complete 5 PVP pet battles without a pet dying" achievement).
The Deadmines and Wailing Caverns challenges can be done whenever I get bored.
After all this, I'll get to work on Toys then Mounts.
This one has taken a while. I finally picked up 300 toys (and thus the mount for the achievement) after starting to seriously work on my Archaeology achievements for the first time. I've been doing the fortnightly Legion archaeology quests for a while (and thus had 800 skill) but I completely ignored this profession in earlier expansions as it seemed seriously boring. With some knowledge and a good addon, it's much better however. Some tips if you're just starting to work on archaeology: 1. Download the "Archy" addon. This addon does several things: first, it shows you the location and completion status of all digsites in the current continent. Second, it automatically sets the closes one as a waypoint for TomTom. Third, it indicates when it's possible to solve an artifact with and without a keystone, so you don't have to constantly check your archaeology screen. On top of that, the distance indicator shows when you are in the correct range from your ...
