I logged in to complete my neitherwing dailies. I couldn't get in.
I check my email and...
" ***Notice of Account Closure***

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy
This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for ""real-world"" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy."
I can only presume that someone thinks I am a bot or something. I have a HUGE portion of the AH market for scrolls and I regularly list almost every scroll twice a day on my banker alt. Because of this, I also buy huge quantities of mats. I'll regularly buy out entire stocks of items.
I've emailed them, but I think calling is going to be my best bet. This is really irritating.

Yup, this happens more and more for my banker account. Either their new botting algorithym's are jacked or my competition is complaining again. Hopefully this doesn't mess up your timeline. But if it does, at least take heart in the fact that you are making enough gold to abuse the wow economy! :D
ReplyDeleteGood to know, thank you :)
ReplyDeleteIt's strange, but when you get punished for something, you go back and think "maybe I DID do something wrong..."
Hopefully I can get through to them today from work.
